Benjamin Pease, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Serenity Mental Health Centers, built his company from the hardest kind of understanding. In 2011, he and his wife Tricia lost one of their daughters in a car accident, and in the years that followed their family navigated profound grief and trauma. Like so many families, they searched for relief and struggled with the idea that long-term symptom management might be the only path forward. They longed for solutions that addressed root causes and offered genuine hope.
A close family friend, Dr. TeeJay Tripp, introduced them to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). The more they learned about the science and the results, the more Pease recognized its power to change lives, and how few people could actually access it. Too few clinics offered the treatment, and too many had never heard of it. That gap became the foundation of Serenity Mental Health Centers, launched in 2017.
What began as a single clinic has grown into a national network of more than 35 locations across eight states. Pease has guided that expansion with unusual discipline, proving something few healthcare leaders manage: A purpose-driven organization can scale nationally without compromising its mission, its culture or its financial integrity.
His distinctive strength lies in seeing strategy, operations, finance, talent and patient access as one connected system and aligning them toward measurable impact. Growth under his direction has never been reactive or opportunistic. Through careful market selection and thoughtful acquisitions, he has balanced ambition with sustainability, achieving remarkable scale through organic strength rather than dependence on venture capital.
Being named a Titan 100 Honoree affirms a leader who understands that transformative care cannot exist without a stable foundation beneath it. Pease has demonstrated that operational rigor and clinical mission are partners, not competitors, and that lasting influence is built to endure rather than to impress.
His five-year vision reaches well beyond adding locations. He sees Serenity Mental Health Centers becoming a nationally recognized authority in interventional psychiatry, helping to shape how mental health conditions are treated across the country. He believes the coming years will mark a turning point, with interventional approaches moving into the mainstream, and he intends for Serenity Mental Health Centers to stand at the forefront of that shift.
Workforce development anchors that outlook. Pease is guiding the organization toward doubling its provider count, ensuring it can meet rising demand while preserving manageable caseloads and high-quality care. Recruitment, infrastructure and financial stability all serve a single purpose: reaching more people who need help.
His guiding conviction is simple and unwavering. Turn purpose into scale, he says, and scale into lives saved. From a family’s deepest loss, Pease has built an organization that carries that promise to thousands, translating hard-won understanding into healing others can reach.
