More than 15 years ago, as a young mother battling suicidal depression, Karalynne Call hit rock bottom and attempted to end her life. Her survival became the turning point for a journey that would reshape an entire industry. Today she is Chief Executive Officer of Just Ingredients, but her path to that title began not with a business plan but with a desperate search for healing.
Working with wellness physicians, Call discovered how profoundly nutrition shaped her mental and physical health, and how many everyday foods and personal care products carried hidden chemicals and additives. She became a certified nutritionist, then began sharing simple ingredient swaps on an Instagram account that grew into a community of more than a million followers and a top-ranked podcast. When she struggled to find safe products she could trust for her family, she started making her own, launching with a clean deodorant and a facial serum in 2019.
The defining leap came with protein powder. Told repeatedly by food scientists that a product made entirely from real ingredients could not be done, Call refused to accept defeat, eventually formulating a grass-fed whey and plant blend sweetened and flavored with whole foods. When advised that nobody used real pumpkin puree because it was too difficult to work with, she found the few scientists willing to do the harder work, and succeeded. That insistence on integrity, even when it raised costs and lengthened timelines, built the trust that scaled the brand to more than 200 products.
A Titan 100 Honoree among the 2026 Salt Lake City class, Call has translated influence into operational excellence. Under her leadership the company more than doubled revenue in a single year, expanded from roughly 600 retailers to thousands of national locations including major outlets, and launched dozens of new products while protecting quality standards. She secured partnerships with professional sports organizations and a celebrated baseball star, and in early 2026 brought Just Ingredients into nearly 2,000 Target stores nationwide. Utah Business named her chief executive officer of the year in 2025.
Her leadership rests on authenticity. Call openly shares her health struggles and the lessons they taught, fostering deep loyalty in a crowded marketplace. The company’s values of family first, honesty, education, kindness and communication mirror her own, shaping an inclusive culture where working parents can find flexibility and thrive. She protects space to think so she can lead with purpose rather than mere momentum.
Of every milestone, Call is proudest of the transformation her work has sparked in individual lives, including those of her six children, her friends and her followers. She spends hours each day answering messages, hearing how people have healed, found energy or reduced anxiety by reducing toxins. Those stories, she says, are the greatest measure of success. If people can live a little happier and healthier because of anything Just Ingredients has offered, then all of it is worth the effort.
