Ryan Meyer arrived at Clyde Companies with a clear directive: modernize and transform the organization’s finance and technology functions as the company pivoted toward a growth-oriented mindset. As Chief Financial Officer of Clyde Companies and President of Clyde Administrative Services, he inherited a legacy accounting team focused largely on transactional work and set about building something far more strategic.

At the time, Clyde had no standalone finance organization. The existing team closed the books and supported the annual audit but had limited capacity for forward-looking analysis or enterprise-wide insight. Recognizing that gap, Meyer built a dedicated finance team designed to support planning, analysis and decision-making across the enterprise, a foundational shift that improved resource management and capital allocation.

He implemented a comprehensive annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process that gave each of Clyde’s eight subsidiaries real-time visibility into performance, introducing new levels of speed, agility and accountability. A key element was the intentional separation of accounting and finance into two distinct but complementary teams, allowing accounting professionals to focus on operational excellence and compliance while finance leaders evolved toward strategy.

His impact reached the balance sheet as well. Meyer led a complex enterprise-wide ERP implementation from start to finish, improving reporting and analytics while reducing the time required to close the books, and he negotiated a sophisticated debt restructuring that strengthened the company’s financial position for long-term growth. Company President and Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Hafen credits him with fundamentally transforming the finance and accounting functions into a modern, data-driven capability. His recognition as a Titan 100 Honoree affirms that transformation.

Meyer’s earlier career built the foundation for this work. He led the refinancing of long-term debt and the termination of a legacy pension plan, then played a central role in acquisition strategy, leading due diligence and integration for three major transactions. Co-leading a business transformation office in partnership with a global consulting firm, he helped deliver substantial EBITDA improvement across manufacturing, logistics, procurement and revenue management while driving a stronger culture of accountability.

Beyond technical excellence, Meyer is a people-centered leader. He has elevated Clyde’s internship program into a best-in-class experience and played a pivotal role in helping finance and accounting professionals build meaningful, long-term careers within the organization, reflecting a belief in developing talent as carefully as capital.

That belief aligns perfectly with Clyde’s mission to build a better community, a goal guided by four core values: valuing people, keeping their word, always giving a full measure and continuously improving. As the company approaches its 100-year anniversary in 2026, it does so with financial capabilities built to support the next century.

Meyer helps steer an ambitious agenda, including a 10X10 initiative aimed at becoming a 10-billion-dollar revenue company within 10 years while remaining privately held and family-owned. Achieving that scale will require exceptional people, and Meyer’s summary of his own approach fits the challenge well: Build and empower people, then expect results.
