Every great company begins with a moment of courage, and for Sean Collins that moment came from watching a business fail. Working for a small milk delivery company that eventually folded, he saw not just failure but possibility. He studied what went wrong, noticed the inefficiencies and decided he could build it better. Today, as Chief Executive Officer and Owner overseeing Costa Vida and FatCats, that same instinct for seeing opportunity inside disappointment drives two iconic and rapidly growing brands.

His early path tested both his business sense and his grit. He built custom delivery boxes, transitioned a customer base from the failed venture to his own and negotiated directly with a dairy supplier, only to be bought out by a competitor before he delivered a single gallon. The lesson stayed with him, that he had created value someone was willing to pay for. From there he launched a printing brokerage, then a parking lot striping company that demanded everything he had. To buy equipment directly, he pre-sold a full opening order before he owned any inventory, then drove to California, filled his truck and came home with the machine that launched the business.

For two years Collins worked a day job and striped parking lots at night, his wife Kristin sleeping in the truck between jobs until he whistled to wake her when it was time to move the headlights. Line by line, mile by mile, they built it together. That business eventually gave him the footing to buy the very company where he once worked his day job, the moment his entrepreneurial journey truly began.

What sets him apart is not just vision but execution. He sees opportunity with clarity, plants a stake in the ground and commits fully to the work required to bring it to life, paired with an unwavering willingness to do whatever it takes. Just as important, he understands that greatness is never built alone. He surrounds himself with talented people who share his values, invests in world-class teams and challenges them to think bigger than they imagined.

Under his guidance Costa Vida and FatCats have grown through disciplined, strategic expansion rather than growth for its own sake, strengthening unit-level economics and building a more sustainable foundation. He has invested heavily in leadership development at every level, partnering with proven frameworks to move teams beyond command-and-control toward trust, accountability and empowerment. Collins earned his Titan 100 Honoree recognition for that blend of purpose and performance.

His accolades include the Ernst and Young entrepreneur of the year award and a lifetime achievement award from the Utah Restaurant Association, yet ask what he is most proud of and the answer is never a trophy. It is the people. He redirects every spotlight toward the leaders who stepped up and the teams who executed with heart.

Over the next five years his vision is to grow responsibly, strengthen brand relevance and deepen community impact, building enduring businesses that make a meaningful difference.
